Yaay , Hi Ladies, On a positive note. Let me say to you. Each lace wig stylist has his or her own technique of applying lace wigs. Just because a stylist does it different does not mean that it is wrong. Every person is different so every wig application will be slightly different.
When an application gets old elements such as hair products dust & lint. May build up around the hairline where glue is exposed. This happens after a few weeks of wear. Your hairline and wig lace should be cleaned each time your unit is reapplied. This can be done with an alcohol spray of at least 90% or better. Sanitation is a must. New glue should never be reapplied on top of dirty old glue.
Lace Wigs are 100% Human Hair ! It will react just like your natural hair will react to color. When you get it an unnatural color you no longer have virgin Remy hair. Now it's been processed and may look frizzy or dry. Putting water on it will only dry it more. It needs sheen, moisturizer, gel, mousse. It has to be moisturized & maintained to look it's best.
PLEASE ladies DO NOT announce to your job co-workers family or friends that you are going to get a lacefront wig. Your hair is your own personal business. Just let them compliment you on your GORGEOUS NEW LOOK!
The last thing you need is someone in your face looking for a flaw. Remember there critics everywhere. so until you have built up a little wearers confidence SSSSHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Look closely at your face. Examine the space between your hairline at the temple and your eybrow.
Is there an ample amount of space between the two or hardly any at all ?
If your natural hairline at the temples sit closely to your eyebrow then be aware that the lace unit in that area will sit a little closer than that.
Remember the adhesive is placed on the outer perimeter of your natural hairline. It may also be a little fuller than your natural hairline.
Lace wigs work best on those with a wider forehead, thinning hairline or no hair at all.
Okay , okay , You have purchased a wig and reviewed other sites and bought an adhesive that said 4-6 week hold. THIS IS NOT TRUE, unless you are completely bald in that area and have no open pores and do not perspire. Even if you shave it, in a few days your hair starts to grow back and your unit lifts. try it for yourself.
No adhesive lasts that long. get your unit laced and it will last for a month and a half.
* NEW TECHNIQUE NO HAIRLINE SHAVING REQUIRED !
Adhesives do not work the same for every one what may work well for one person may not work well for another.
It may take a few times to find a product that works well with your particular body chemistry.
Some products may be too harsh while others give less hold. Some products may be used in conjunction with another.
Avoid steam sweating heavily, or getting your lace unit wet for at least 24 to 72 hours after getting it placed on.
The adhesive needs time to set properly. It must be fully dry before any moisture is set in.
Please do not attempt to swim in your unit. I personally do not recommend this unless it has been adhered using the sewing or tacking methods.
